Are You Ready To Lose Your Fear?

It�s not your fault... you know.

More than 20 years ago, Kathy and I joined our first home business program. You may know them as the Soap and Vitamin company that they are most famous for still today. Like so many young dreamers that have gone before and still do today� we failed miserably.

Yes, we were very motivated and worked hard, at first, but in the end, too few sales and too many friends and family running to hide anytime we approached. Our checking account couldn�t stand it any longer.

We failed and were very disappointed that another dream of success had fallen by the wayside.

It was years before we felt like trying again. We had a really strong dream, but the fear of failing again was still foremost in our minds. In case you had any doubt, the next one failed too and the next one after that, and the next one�

I Never Realized There Was So Much Stuff People Didn't Want!

Obviously, those that did find success in those programs, and there were many, knew something we just couldn�t grasp or find on our own. Let�s face it, all of those businesses had great products that lots of people wanted. So, it must be my fault that I couldn�t do it too.

All I can say at this point is that it�s a good thing that our dream of having our own home business was so strong or we probably wouldn�t have made it past so many failures. I just wish that one of our sponsors back then would have known what we finally (more than 20 years later) have learned in just the last two days�

It�s not your fault.

Let that sink in for a minute. How does that make you feel? I know that it was quite the revelation in my soul.

I don't care what any heavy hitter has ever told you. Fact is they've almost certainly lied to you. They�ve at least only given you half the facts, which in my book, is still a big fat lie!

Doesn't that make you angry?

I can prove it though� let�s just put it into a real world perspective.

Think back, when you got your first job as a kid, who�s job was it to teach you how to do what ever it was that they wanted you to get done each day?

It wasn�t yours� was it?

If the job wasn�t done on the first few days you were there, who�s fault was it? Not yours� it was your trainer or mentor, RIGHT?

Since you didn�t know how to do the job, they didn�t just expect you to jump in and do it� did they? No successful business in the world expects a new employee to know how to do the job right off the bat.

So, why did my sponsors expect me to just go out and become successful? Fact is, most of them were new too and we were in the same boat together. But what about their sponsors and their managers? Who�s fault was it that we failed?

Now I know� It Wasn�t My FAULT!

Armed with that new perspective and knowledge of what is needed to succeed, we now have a whole new perspective and a whole new business mind set.

We now know exactly what to look for in a new business opportunity� and the product is near the end of the list�

FACT: You are not in the product sales business; you are in the PEOPLE business.

Truth: Network marketing is a teaching & mentoring business. If you start out by studying vitamins, nutritional supplements, the building of websites ... or ANY other product or service ... you're wasting your time.

Your true product is people. So you need to be studying people. You need to be finding out how you can help them reach their dreams.
